Bed bug control
Bed bugs. Arguably a worthy opponent of any pest controller and an undeniable nightmare for homeowners and business managers in the hospitality sector. Urbanization, a sharp incline of international tourism, and more diverse, high-volume accommodation options have aided the proliferation of bed bugs.
These highly resilient, parasitic insects have stood the test of time and are more prevalent today than ever. But don't worry, because Arrow Pest Group has put in a century of experience of work for you. We have been developing the most comprehensive bed bug detection, treatment and prevention solutions to protect your home and business.
Bed bug fumigation services
Structural fumigation involves completely tarping your property and releasing fumigant gas to permeate every inch of the structure, including walls and under floors. The chemicals penetrate all items within the fumigation space and is highly effective in eliminating all stages of bed bugs present in one single treatment.
During the bed bug fumigation treatment, all tenants, pets and plants will need to be evacuated for several days.
Bed bug insecticide treatment
Conventional insecticide treatment remains our primary and most common approach for the removal of bed bugs. Several insecticide formulations, including liquids, dusts and aerosols are typically required for a thorough bed bug service due to the varying types of surfaces, materials and circumstances encountered.
Dusts are excellent tools to use when treating for bed bugs. These formulations tend to last longer than their liquid counterparts and can be easily applied into voids where liquids may not reach or should not be applied. Aerosols are also convenient tools, especially when fitted with a crack and crevice tip to allow direct application into cracks and crevices where bed bugs hide.
Bed bug insecticide treatment usually begins at the focal point of the infestation, in most cases, the bed in an infested room. This will be followed by careful treatment of all items in the vicinity; including baseboards, floor and wall junctions, tack strips under carpets, behind electrical outlets and switches, cracks in the walls and floors, wall-mounted items and relevant structural voids. The intent is to treat every possible hiding place to ensure bed bugs - at all stages of their life cycle - are completely eliminated.
Bed bug steam treatment
Steam remediation treatments work by delivering lethal temperatures into deep recesses and inaccessible areas where bed bugs hide. The use of steam is effective for killing bed bugs in all stages of development and allows Arrow Pest Group specialists to treat fabric surfaces such as mattresses, box springs and upholstered furniture which usually prohibit the use of insecticides.
The treatment is chemical-free and effective in moving bed bugs out of cracks and crevices within furniture, making them more likely to expose themselves and move into contact with applied insecticides (if any).
Bed bug mattress covers
Encasing your mattress in a high quality bed bug mattress cover is a good preventative measure for keeping bed bugs out of your box spring and mattress. It eliminates bed bug entry and escape points, removes potential hiding places and stops them from feeding on you, your family and your guests in the middle of the night.
The benefits of bed bug mattress covers include:
- Preventing re-infestations
- Reduces the number of pest harborage (hiding) areas
- Aids in the early detection of bed bugs
- Cool and comfortable to sleep on while offering complete protection against allergens, dust mites and bed bugs
Bed bug mattress and box spring encasements are amongst the most reliable and affordable solutions for preventing bed bug infestations; making visual inspections and getting rid of bed bugs from the surface a much more straightforward process.
